First of all, I want to take a moment to do a massive shoutout to the girls at the Nottingham Branch at 4 Long Row, Nottingham. As always, you girls are the on front line ready to welcome those of us looking for something a little more special or in some cases, more daring than we would normally look for. You are never shy, you are always right there when we need you and most of all, you always give great feedback. I would give names but I dont want to embaress myself by saying that I have completely forgot all your names (please do get in touch in the comments) but you are and always will be my go-to sisters for lingerie shopping. I love you all.
So lets start by taking a look at the design shall we? Firstly, the colour. Wow. When I saw this first in the shop I was totally taken aback by the colour. It's vibrant. It's bright. It's bold. That all said this is absolutely what I went looking for.
So my hair colour choice is blue (as i'm hoping you've seen. I have a love of all things blue. Girls colours are usually pink but for me blue was the colour that I always liked the most, so I when I saw this in the shop, I just naturally grabbed one. I just knew that if I was buying anything that day, it was this.
With that choice made easy for me, I know for some that bright brash colour such as these can sometimes be too much. I would have to say, if you are going for a lighter dress or blouse, this obviously really isn't a good choice. The black to start with is going to show really clearly through anything you're wearing, but this is blue... ELECTRIC BLUE!
Ok, so next. I need to make this really clear as I know some of you ladies aren't a massive fan of this next style, the back is THONG. I have never been one for flaunting my cheeks but I must say, this one is rather well put together. I personally didn't have any chafe or discomfort from this although there was a moment near the beginning when I slipped this on that I thought I was going to cut straight-up through the middle of myself. My heart sank, but as I did it up and pulled the straps over my shoulders I was really taken-a-back by the high level of comfort.
Then I saw myself in the mirror and, oh my gosh. I could have cried with ecstacy.
I looked gorgeous.
I looked in-charge of my sexuality.
I was owning it sister!!
So I know this is usally frowned upon but I had to take a picture to show the girls in the shop. I was feeling bloody spectacular! I have worn, and also own some really expensive underwear, i'll throw my hands up to that, but this made me feel like a real woman! You know? Sometimes you find that bit of underwear that just really sings? This was it.
Ok, so time for a little gripe. The main con I had on this was... those godamn little straps. Yeah, I know that they are for stockings etc but my God! These things must have been invented by a man because these are bloody annoying and difficult. I prefered going without them (they are fully detachable) but for images I have kept hem attached. If I need stockings to go with this I can just pull up some hold-ups and i'm good to go.
To round-up: The body's design is made from sheer mesh and the underwired cups work brilliantly for my boobs (be sure to try one before you buy, underwired isn't for everyone) and kept everything nice and shapely for me. The panelling helped to accentuate my curves and, in my opinion, turned them up to 11. The final look is tied off with a diamante design on the outside layers, so I sparkled too.
